Learning Assistance Services are school-based, resource services designed to support students who may benefit from additional assistance, instruction, or strategies to support their learning and growth at school. The Learning Assistance Teacher works collaboratively with classroom teachers to understand student strengths and needs, plan responsive supports, and coordinate how best to help students experience success within their classroom learning environment.
Learning Assistance may include direct support through small-group instruction, targeted skill development, and additional opportunities for practice and reinforcement in areas such as Mathematics and Literacy. The goal is to provide students with the support, strategies, and confidence they need to access their learning, build independence, and make meaningful progress alongside their peers.
