On September 26, our school will recognize Orange Shirt Day, a day to honour the Indigenous children who were sent to residential schools and to affirm that every child matters.
Orange Shirt Day is a time for reflection, learning, and coming together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope. Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange to show support for survivors, their families, and communities.
Throughout the day, we will engage in age-appropriate activities and discussions to help students understand the history and ongoing impact of residential schools in Canada.
Let’s stand together in kindness, respect, and the commitment to building a better future for all.
